Workshop Santa Barbara Review

This year 29 Artists & Friends of Krüger came to Santa Barbara/CA to join Krüger's 1st US Workshop. Sebastian gave a live presentation on a large canvas, 160 x 180 cm (60 x 72 inches). Above, Krüger paints Clint Eastwood ('Here's lookin' at you Dude...') in acrylic.

'Styles of women’s’ winter coats

This season has brought with it an array of winter coats. One particular style that is proving to be extremely popular on the style agenda is the cape. Some of the more common styles of the cape include the capelet, cloaks and shawls, stoles and wraps.

The capelet offers a form of outerwear that opens up at the front and houses no sleeves but instead has slits where the arms would have normally been placed. There are two styles of this season’s capelet: one comes in the shape of a full circle and another takes the form of a straight shaped style. Each does the same job in covering the shoulders and judging by the autumn and winter runways, this is most definitely a trend that is perfect for the forthcoming colder months.

Cloaks are similar to the cape, however they generally appear longer in length and the typically styled capes finish mid-calf but they are also available as long as ankle-length. Cloaks also tend to be completely sleeveless and they are really handy pieces to throw around you as a great outerwear piece.

Shawls, wraps and stoles are usually wrapped around the shoulders in a loose fashion and are a great investment for evening wear. In the past they have often been created in a luxurious fabric such as fur, brocade or silk. Both designers Ralph Lauren and Luella showcased their own takes on such a piece, with Luella updating the standard fur stole and Ralph Lauren revealing a series of re-vamped evening styles. they all think i'm crazy, but to me it's perfect sense.

THE SCRIPT WERE AMAZING.
Oh my god, just wow wow wow. I can't wait to go again, I got unbelievably good views (I lined up for seven hours in London, aha) and at Portsmouth, Danny jumped in the crowd, RIGHT NEXT TO ME! Gah! I love them! And Glen caught my eye through the crowd, and I went a bit shy and he smiled at me. AH!
All of you should buy their new album Science & Faith too, it's incredible!
But yes, in other news, London Fashion Week was last week, and I decided to put together some of my favourite looks:

Sustainable Show.
I got a real American/50's vibe from this collection. I think the shows are amazing and I love the colour scheme, I really love light, neutral colours at the moment. Oh, and the shoes? Wow.

Sass & Bide.
I like the coral colour running through this collection, and personally, the designs on some of the clothes (like the last two) sort of remind me of Christopher Kane a few seasons back. Some people might completely disagree, but that's my opinion.

Felder Felder
I LOVE this collection!
It's simple, with some bold pieces (take the pink jacket for instance) and I'd like to own most, if not all of the pieces in it, especially those dresses, they're lovely.

Erdem
Erdem is one of my favourite brands. I love the floral prints, and I love the mix of patterns in outfits. Also, I love the collars. As well as neutral colours, I have a bit of a thing for collars at the moment. Oh, and lace. I'd really love to own that red lace dress, it reminds me of one Topshop did a few months ago, and I completely lusted over the white version.

Burberry Prosum
Most of this collection I love, the only thing I didn't really like was the pops of neon every now and again. Although, I do quite like that bright purpely-pink dress (fourth picture). I like the trenches, I'd love to own a Burberry trench and I LOVE the leather versions.
Overall: I was disappointed in the Topshop Unique show, it just wasn't my sort of thing. My favourite collections would be Felder Felder and Erdem.
